My name is Conor Manley, and I am a Filmmaker from Seattle, WA. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I have always been fascinated by the art and culture of that area. As a kid, I was always fascinated by artists from the Seattle area, like Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain. They had an extraordinary way of communicating complex feelings and ideas without needing to use words. Prominent figures like these inspired me to pursue media and become a filmmaker.
I believe that films and videos are time capsules, capable of showcasing both the past and the future in exciting ways. As a filmmaker, it is my goal to help move the world forward through the media I create.
As an artist, I feel I have a responsibility to put my all into every project I am a part of. I understand how valuable media is in the modern world, and how involved it can be in people’s everyday lives. Everything from Movies to Songs, to the News can have a profound impact on our mental state. Media should be something that people should look forward to and enjoy, not fear and avoid. The world can be a scary place, and I hope that my films and videos can provide an escape from that.
